NYS Public Entities Safety Group 497 and NYS School Safety Group 491 are delighted to welcome new members to their respective committees!
Safety Group 497 and its Executive Committee are pleased to announce the recent appointment of its newest Executive Committee member, John Giordano. Mr. Giordano currently serves as the Village Administrator for the Village of Lynbrook, located in Nassau County, Long Island. Mr. Giordano has over 35 years of experience in working with municipalities, and has accumulated many prestigious awards including being named "Clerk of the Year" by the New York State Association of City and Village Clerks, the Nassau Citizens Budget Committee’s “Good Government Award-Capital Planning and Budget”, NY Conference of Mayors’ “Main Street Award,” and the Nassau County Village Officials Association’s “Downtown Alive and Best Practices in Village Government” award. He was also honored by the State Comptroller for authoring the statewide "Registered Municipal Clerk" certification program.
Safety Group 491 and its Executive Committee are pleased to announce the recent appointment of its newest Executive Committee members, Mrs. Brenda Semeraro and Ms. Christine DeMass. Mrs. Semeraro currently serves as the School Business Administrator at Cato-Meridian Central School District in Cato, NY. Ms. DeMass currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent for Business Operations at Skaneateles Central School District in Skaneateles, NY.
