The New York State Workers' Compensation Board has announced the NYS Assessment Rate (applied to all NY workers' compensation insurance policies) is 9.8% for the calendar year 2023. This is a slight reduction from the 2022 rate of 10.2%.
NOTE: The Assessment Rate is not applied to Volunteer Firefighter Benefit Law (VFBL) or Volunteer Ambulance Workers Benefit Law (VAWBL) policies.
